Can I retrieve a publish post if I've saved a draft over the top of it?
-
I typed and published a post a few days ago using Windows Live Writer. After publishing, I modified the text in Live Writer so I could do a “part 2” post. I saved that as a local draft which was fine.
Today, I finished typing the “part 2” post and published it as a draft to wordpress and it has somehow remembered that it was the same post as a few days ago even though I changed the name. This is the first time I’ve tried to do a part 2. Obviously I need to start a completely new post in Live Writer. I’ll need to remember that for next time.
In the meantime, is there any way to get my original post back? It has disappeared off my blog completely and the only thing I have left is the new draft one (as yet unpublished).
The comments on my original post now show at the bottom of what was supposed to be part 2.The post in question is here: http://thetriroad.wordpress.com/2014/11/09/forster-challenge-experience-part-1/ The address hasn’t changed even though the title has. Maybe this is a question for Windows Live Writer help instead but I’m hoping wordpress might have a backup?

Sorry. I finally found what I was looking for. Didn’t think to search for “deleted post” when I was searching the forums before. Found it using the Google cache system described here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleted-posts-and-pages/
