Can I retrieve deleted images from media library
-
I deleted all the images in my media library, not realizing this would delete all the images in my previous blog posts (7 years of posts…). Is there a way to retrieve them? Undo the deletion? Is there a ‘trash’ folder in the media library?

WordPress.com provides free blogs and hosts them free of charge. There are no bandwidth charges. All WordPress.com blogs come with 3000 megabytes (~3 GBs) of space for storing uploaded files and images. Free features are listed here https://en.wordpress.com/features/ When we exhaust our free space we can purchase more – Adding storage space https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/
Images you upload into your media library and embed into posts and pages are on wordpress.COM servers. They remain visible unless or until you delete them from your media library. Deleting them from your media library also removes them from every place you embedded them in the blog and leaves behind broken links.
Staff cannot restore images you delete from your Media Library. You have to upload them all again and then fix every broken image link in every post/page it was embedded into previously.

Your images have not yet been removed from Google’s cached indexed content https://www.google.ca/search?q=google&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiHxt_rx7nLAhVO3WMKHcUoCd4Q_AUICSgD&biw=1024&bih=643#tbm=isch&q=https:%2F%2Fadiligentobserver.wordpress.com%2F
