Can I retrieve lost widgets?

I recently switched themes. When I did my sidebar was duplicated in the footer. When I deleted the footer widgets, the sidebar widgets were deleted as well. I had a few widgets I really don’t want to have to recreate. Was my blog’s previous theme backup somewhere, perhaps?

I’d recommend looking into the theme’s coding – Hemingway Rewritten – so this doesn’t happen to other people. I lost nearly 2 years of revolvingmaps.com history, my Paypal button won’t show up anymore, and I have to rewrite a lengthy html file, which displayed my upcoming posts. (That last one should be a standard widget, BTW.)
