Can I retrieve my WordPress blog after GoDaddy deleted it?
-
GoDaddy deleted my blog when I accidentally only renewed the domain and not the hosting.
I can see a saved version without pictures on wayback machine, which gives me some hope. But I don’t know where to go from there. Is there a way to retrieve any of my blog. I am devastated.
Thanks in advance -
Hi there,
What is the address to the site in question?
__________For help with a WordPress site hosted elsewhere you’ll need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

Also, try reaching out to GoDaddy support with your issue, link below:

Hiya! The website is http://dorytheexplorer.com/
oh, ok, i will take the question to the other forum, thank you.
GoDaddy were no help. They were a bit ‘sorry, no sorry’
Thanks again. -
Hi @kazuriphotography – I’m going to try to bring you back because I think this is still somewhat salvageable. It’ll take a little work, but if you care about the content you created, you can bring it to a free site here on the WordPress.com account you created to preserve it and carry on. :)
How? It’s not elegant, but here’s what you can do…
1. Create a new free site here on WordPress.com.
2. Go here: https://web.archive.org/web/20200804232513/http://dorytheexplorer.com/
3. Copy text from pages and posts you have access to through Wayback Machine.
4. Paste them into new pages and posts in the new free site you created here.
At least this would give you an idea of how you might be able to get *something* back and online from this site. And do so in a free space that doesn’t expire.
Think this might work? I think it’s worth a try! Let us know if you have any questions.
