Can I return a Domain Mapping?
-
I mapped to the wrong domain and need to change it. Can I return a domain mapping, or get it changed to the correct address?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yes. What are the specific URLs involved here? Post them please and I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

guidetogoodfood.wordpress.com
mapping purchased for guidetogoodfood.org
should be mapped to guide2goodfood.org -
Just transfer it to the other blog: http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#transferring-upgrades
Or the staff can help if you have trouble – but you need to ask them in small very clear words (they don’t want to move something to the wrong place)

Hello there,
Great advice, captnmike. Thanks much! I took a look at guide2goodfood.org and it appears as if everything is mapping properly with guidetogoodfood.wordpress.com. Could you confirm, or let me know if you need addition assistance? -
@thatrobyn – you be welcome
I try and get things lined up with the info you need to help the first time and save you asking for more info then needing to come back a second time

The issue was not transferring a domain to another blog, but rather purchasing the incorrect spelling of “to” instead of “2.” Since the incorrect domain name was purchased, we were able to “cancel” the incorrectly spelled domain before 30 days.
See the note below for what caused the confusion:
Note: if you not logged in as the user who made the initial purchase, you can not cancel a domain mapping. The user who made the purchase is the only one who can cancel it.

Thanks for checking back in. You are absolutely right, only the upgrade purchaser has the right to make adjustments to that particular upgrade. Glad you were able to launch a refund and re-setup your domain mapping with the correct spelling. All the best.
