can I return a post to draft?

  I’ve accidentally pressed publish instead of update draft. can I restore a post to a draft, effectively unpublish it? I’ve sent the post to trash but I can’t edit it there

  Hi Steve,

  Sure! So I recommend taking the post out of the Trash and editing it. Then in the Publish module, click on Edit next to Status. From there, select Draft in the Dropdown and hit Update. It should look like this:

  Thanks Grace, think I’ve sorted my post now! If I select draft does that take the post out of the public domain and stop it being seen by my readers?
  Anyway, I’ve got the post back into draft, finished editing it so it’s now ready for publication on my usual Saturday slot.

  Yes, the post won’t be seen if it’s a draft. However, if you published it, it will be sent to your Followers. Reverting it to a draft after that point will not un-send the email.
