Can I return to the old editing platform?

Hi there,
Go to My Site > Add new page > On right hand corner > Click on 3 dots > Select switch to classic editor
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks! -
This doesn’t help. I have found that. I am editing a post I already had. I see the Switch to Classic Editor, but it’s grayed out and doesn’t do anything if I try to click there.
I’d like to get verbal help but there’s no phone number anywhere. I am very frustrated and considering moving my site. The only thing that is stopping me is the thought of all the work of moving.

Morning :)
Please let me know which post you are working on. Share a link or post title. I’d like to make sure it is updated/saved so you don’t lose any work.
It’d be great to see what you see. Are you able to grab a screen shot when that
switch to classic editorbutton is grayed out, and non working? The screen shot can be added here through something like snag.gy. Just paste the link from snag.gy , from your browser bar , and paste it here. There could be something on your set up that’s running interference as well. I am able to switch back and forth between the editors. Try this:
– manually save the work, and then see if you can switch back.
– try using a different browser temporarily
– clear the browser cacheI know you are frustrated but we will get things sorted out!

I can’t even find the “Switch to Classic Editor” option now. I know I saw it at one point. I think you should be able to see the screenshot here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/JLxP1xyHy6v7GrZ16
I think the problem is on every page, but the one I want to edit right now is this post: http://bevadams.com/projects-set-8/
I want to add another image and title with each serving as a link to my newest project, http://bevadams.com/christmas-gift-box/. I can add an image, but it goes to a new block below the table. I thought about just trying to use html, but I don’t really know quite enough to do that.
I hate having to learn dramatically new procedures without any training or direction when I need it to do work!

Can you send me the screen shot where exactly you re facing the problem with will be easy to guide.

The place I already shared, https://photos.app.goo.gl/JLxP1xyHy6v7GrZ16
I would like to keep adding a thumbnail image. The next one should go above the Star of Light Diorama card with I can add an image to that page, but it goes below the table. I can’t figure out how to add it.I have the same problem on this page. http://bevadams.com/clear-case-inserts-for-supplies/
I have an ongoing list of links for files. I cannot figure out how to add to the list (alphabetical order). In this case, I do see Classic Editor. It does give me a few tools, but not the ability to add the file and link.

Hi @ bevadamsstamps050318, the issue seems to be that you’re using a WordPress.org installation at GoDaddy, rather than a site hosted here. They can be quite different.
We installed an option to switch to classic and that’s what everyone’s been referring to. Since you’re running your own installation, you would need to to configure your copy of the software that way. There’s a plugin available here:
For future help, I’d recommend checking the correct support forum here:

Oh hallelujah!!!! That is exactly what happened and the exact correct fix. Thank you so very much!!!!

You bet. I’d recommend going back and trying the block editor every month or two though as folks are busy making improvements as they get more feedback.
Either way, best wishes. :)
