Can I see who shares?

  I am running a contest on my blog and would like to include an option of an extra entry if someone shares my blog and/or page. Is there a way of seeing who does this or another way I can get people to share my blog where I can track it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi. Some services, such as Twitter, allow you to search for your URL to see who shared it in public. Also, the WordPress.com Like button will show the avatars of everyone who clicked “Like”. But for other services, like Facebook, it’s not possible with WordPress.com I’m afraid.

  You can track who shares your link in any social network you belong to like Twitter or Facebook. If anyone backlinks to your posts then you will receive a pingback.

  Well, it depends on the privacy settings of the individuals on Twitter and Facebook. If people have a protected Twitter stream, you won’t be able to see them, and if people have locked down their Facebook accounts you won’t be able to find out who shared your stuff.
