Can I sell my own products on my WordPress blog/website?

  I’m getting mixed messaged on WordPress.com. Some say you can not sell on a WordPress blog/website, but I also see that you can put PayPal on your site to receive payments. I’m confused! Please explain.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Howdy,

  You can sell your own items on WordPress.com using the PayPal links. Admittedly, the setup isn’t as slick as the ecommerce solutions you can build using a self-hosted WordPress.org-powered site (the difference between .com and .org).

  In short, if our offering fits your needs and your site isn’t violating our terms of service (no porn, not selling anything illegal, not participating in spam, etc) , you’re welcome to sell your own products via WordPress.com.

  Thanks Kraftbj! Needless to say, I’m new to WordPress and have a lot to learn. So I appreciate you clarifying this for me. Now I just need to figure out whether it would be good idea for me to switch over to WordPress.org or not. Have a great day!!!!
