Can I sell my product on my blog.

  I would like to sell a product on my blog with a PayPal button. Can I have an ad on my blog about my own product? Can you tell me how to insert the ad?

  What is the product? Artists and authors are allowed to sell their own books and art, but WP.com bans reselling items that are manufactured by someone else. And you can’t use ecommerce functionality like the Paypal buy it now button here; it will be stripped out for security reasons.

  Oh wow! Thank you very much. I have been totally misinformed. I want to sell cat treats to help fund my efforts to spay or neuter stray & feral cats.

  I was under the impression that I could do this on a wordpress blog.

  What you are describing is absolutely allowed in a WordPress.com blog! Blogs that raise money for charity efforts are one of the Types of Blogs we list here as being welcome at WordPress.com:

  It’s true that we strip out embed code like iframe for security reasons. However, we have a built in way to include a paypal button on your blog:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/
