Can I send private messages to my followers?

  I want to send emails/messages to people who are following me without the messages appearing on my site – as can be done when using a 3rd party app such as Aweber. I want to use my WordPress.com sites to let people know of local events and if these messages appear on the site I am concerned that it will become too cluttered

  Sorry, but followers on WordPress.com just means they’re subscribing to your posts. We do not offer an email list service. To send them private emails you’ll need to set up a third-party service and have your followers opt-in with that service.
