Can I set my blog to private but allow only certain people access

I have an online resume, however for security purposes I have it set to private, but I had to create another blog (another USER ID and PASSWORD) just so potential employers who don’t have wordpress and are not on my access list can access my site.

So my question is: is there any way for potential employers to see my online portfolio without having to use this (additional blog included on my access list) User ID and Password I’ve created?

In other words is there a link I can provide that will keep my portfolio private but allow ONLY the people with the link I provide with access to the site? Is there a way to do this? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Those people will need a WordPress.com ID in order to read the blog, and you’ll have to Invite them.

A better idea is to make a public blog but if you want to keep the resume private, just password-protect the actual resume page and put the password in your application.

I honestly think you’d be better off just creating a profile on LinkedIn. I’m working with a job search expert developing a workshop on social media for job hunters, and I would never recommend the setup you’ve got. Just put your resume on LinkedIn. If you want to do this on WordPress.com, then you can, but not every employer is going to be smart enough or interested enough right off the bat to save the password and look at your site.
