Can I set up multiple users on one account without setting up new blog accounts?

  My wife and I want to share our blog site. I cannot find a way to set her up as an author without having to create a seperate blog in her name and then adding her as a contributor. I want us both to be able to author blogs on our site. Is there a way to just add her as an author?

  Users can create accounts without an associated blog, by selecting the appropriate option on the sign-up form:
