Can I shift my self hosted wordpress back to free wordpress?
-
Hello,
I bought the domain (firsttimemommy.net) from WordPress in June 2013 and then was on free wordpress till June 2018. Though my domain is still registered with WP, I went onto self hosted WP with SiteGround.I would like to know what are the steps involved to cancel my self hosting with SiteGround and move back to free WordPress? I still want to retain my domain name with WP.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
In order to cancel your web hosting account at siteground. You should contact their customer support.
For using the existing domain (firsttimemommy.net) with WordPress.com you need to either transfer the domain to WordPress or update the DNS records associated with the domain.
Please have a look at these links if you need help.

How to transfer an existing domain to WordPress. – https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
How to use my domain without transferring to WordPress. – https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Note: You need a paid plan to use your oen domain with WordPress.
Hope this helps.
