  can I skip the domain registration at this time? and will wordpress sign me a placeholder under the Free service

  Hi sbamonte,

  You can start by choosing a free address and add a custom domain later on. If you need to upgrade plans in order to access certain features, the domain credit included in the plan can be left unused until a later date.
