We have the same storm on the way here – Gale Warnings in effect for the whole area – gusts on the water forecast to 45 mph depending on the day and area

When gale force winds happen trees dive over power lines. 100kph = 62.137mph gusts are expected. Our hatches are battened down ;) and we will go into siege mentality mode when required.

It’s been intermittently beautiful weather all week and TODAY is the day I am going for a long walk. Perfect. I can’t even wear my $150 rain hat in case it blows away.

Your hat sounds awesome! Post a pic please. I hear you. I decided not to take today off and go trail walking with my friend because it’s such lousy weather. Not even my hair covered Pomeranian who loved being outside wants to be out today. We have lots of firewood, candles and a Coleman stove are can operate off grid if needs be. -
How I wish it was Summer and I could take my tent and sleeping bag for a visit! Off to uh…Not-Ucluelet for me on Wednesday. Maybe Powell River after that. Then Vangroover again. I just have to make enough for the busfare!
