Can I still write posts in serif?
-
Nevermind how I make it look on the blog design — writing posts in serif is one of the main reasons I use WP. It appears I can’t do this anymore? Does anyone know how?
Or know why they made this arbitrary switch to be like all the other blogging platforms?
Sincerely,
Serif LovaThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there,
Hello there,
You cannot change the font family size or color on any titles in any free hosted WordPress.com blog without a custom design upgrade. That upgrade applies to a single blog and is for a single year.If you are into fiddling about with font size each and every post you make by using the Text editor (HTML editor) then you can change it in the body text in posts and pages.
These are 3 ways to change fonts on WordPress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the Text ie. HTML editor. http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/formatting-text-pt-5/
(2) Changing font colors in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page using the #4 icon (Select text color – change the text color) in Row 2 the Visual editor. http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2
(3) Changing all font families, colors and sizes throughout the whole blog by purchasing an annually renewable Custom Design upgrade and using Typekit Fonts with Staff support.

I’m not talking about the way the website looks when you visit it. I’m talking about when you’re actually writing the post in the text box. (I post via wordpress.com.)

What see is what you get. June 2011 Staff inroduced a WordPress HTML editor font change. Consolas is a new Microsoft font. The font stack use in the HTML editor is Consolas, Monaco, Monospace. If you computer does not have Consolas, then your browser will use Monaco. If it does not have that, then it will use Monospace. If it does not have that, the browser will use another font. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/06/06/wordpress-html-editor-font-change/
