Can I stop my opening page from saying there's no material there?

  I have just created 2 pages in my new blog. One is “About” and another is the first of my blog entries titled “Groundrules.” Yet when I check it by approaching from the “outside” as a viewer would (johnjustthinking.com), I am greeting with a partial page that seems to say my blog material doesn’t exist. I am sure, as a rank novice, I am doing something wrong, but I can’t figure out what.

  What does “subscribed to this topic” mean???

  http://john1938.wordpress.com/ is set to show your blog posts, but you haven’t published any posts yet. Once you publish a post, it will appear there instead of the error. Alternatively, you can assign a different front page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/
