Can I stop th Modularity Lite Slideshow?!
-
Hey, I am new to all this and thoroughly confused. I wanted a simple blog with a large photo image and Modularity Lite was the closest I could find. but from what I gather it will change the photo according to new photos uploaded. I just want the image I’ve chosen to stay there but to be able to upload smaller photos within new postings. is this possible?! thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

First you go to Appearance > Theme Options and disable the slideshow.
Then you can upload a normal header image in Appearance > Header; must be 950×200 px.
Or you can insert an image via the “Welcome message” field in Appearance > Theme options; must be 950px wide, but can be as high as you like (the slideshow is 425px high). See here, double asterisk: -
Is there any way to make a slideshow in this theme of just 5-10 pre-picked pictures or can they only be pulled from your most recent posts? I shoot pictures of people and the slideshow is cropping them in weird places.

As Panos suggests, and his blog post on Modularity Lite says, the slideshow area is 950×425 pixels. Images wider or taller than those dimensions will be stretched and/or cropped to fit that area. If you wan to utilize the slideshow, you have to prepare your images to those dimensions prior to uploading them.

You can use the WP slideshow instead, or a Flickr sllideshow:
