Can I switch the account I paid for to another website?

    I paid for a wordpress for a website name I can’t use because it wasn’t approved through the state for my organization. I have another name for it now and would like to switch the website name to use the money I spent for this one (needsanddreams.com) to newphoenixproject.com how do I do that without having to pay for another 48$ for the year. I’m trying to avoid paying 48$ again since I can’t use the needsanddreams website. Please help! I hope I explained this correct.

  • That particular domain has never been registered or hosted here, and we have absolutely no history of purchases, transactions, or billing activity of any kind under the account you’re currently logged into.

    Are you sure you paid us, WordPress.com, for something?

    The domain is under needsanddreamsllc.com [redacting private info].
    Is there anyway I can change the domain to newphoenixproject.com instead of the needsanddreamsllc.com since I will NOT be using that domain at all.

  • Ah! The domain has llc in it, got it.

    Also, I removed your transaction info as that is private and these forums are public.

    The transaction is under another account. I’d recommend getting a refund on that account, then purchasing again on this one.

    Please note the domain cost itself won’t be refundable at this point, given it’s been registered for a while now:

    Here are the steps you’ll use:

    – Log out. Log in as that user that made the upgrade. Contact support about cancelling.

    – Log out, and log in again as this new user. Purchase the upgrade under this account and add your new domain as you like.

    I tried to pay for another domain/website and it would not let me. It gave me a code of AXLZNE. May you please tell me what this means and how to fix I need to purchase this domain ASAP!

  • @newphoenixproject there seems to have been a short-term issue with accepting payments on your account, which we have cleared on our end.
