Can I talk to someone about my domain name that has expired elsewhere?

    I had a site with my domain name purchased through GoDaddy, which I have cancelled. I would like that same domain name for here so I can get started with a premium upgrade.

    Howdy!

    You’ll want to get in touch with GoDaddy and inquire about having your domain restored.

    Once the domain is restored, you will be able to use it here with us at WordPress.com by completing Domain Mapping. The Domain Mapping is included in your WordPress.com Premium and will not cost extra.

    If they aren’t able to restore the domain you can try to register the domain through us after it becomes available. This could take some time, they should be able to give you a more specific timeline. Domain cancellation and expiration is a bit tricky. The other option would be to simply register a new domain.
