Can I thank my sponsors on the free site?
-
I would like to have a list of my sponsors on a page of my blog. Does this count as advertising? I would not make money from page clicks. Would it be matter if this included the company logo vs just the name? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You may want to read these support docs as content published for the primary purpose of driving traffic to other websites is not allowed.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/sponsored-posts/
https://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/1. WordPress.com allows bloggers to insert text affiliate links within post and page content to most third-party affiliate programs, provided they are not the primary content of the site in question.
2. Image affiliate links in posts and pages and any banners, affiliate links in sidebar or footer widget areas, are still considered to be advertising and are not allowed on WordPress.com blogs.

Thanks! That does clarify things. But still feel I am in a gray area- I am thinking of making a site for a non-profit that would include a fundraising page for the Auction fundraiser. Underneath the information about the Auction, we would like to thank the businesses who supported the auction and include their logos. They would not be affiliate links.

Hi @cindylund,
That shouldn’t be a problem at all. You’re more than welcome to the logos of the businesses who supported the cause.
