Can I transfer a domain to my WordPress account?

  We would very much like to transfer a domain that we purchased some time ago with a domain host. This host is unable to point or forward our domain to our new WordPress blog, and this piece of internet real estate is very important to us, as you can image. I’ve already been advised that WordPress does not accept domain transfers, but my current host cannot offer what we need and we’re really stuck. Can WordPress offer this service? With thanks.

  We can’t accept incoming domain registration transfers, but you’re welcome to keep your domain name registered elsewhere, and your blog hosted here at WordPress.com.
