Can I transfer a URL bought through wordpress.COM to wordpress.ORG?

  I want to transfer my current wordpress.COM site to a wordpress.ORG site. However, I want to keep the same URL (purchased through wordpress.COM). I already found out how to export the current wordpress.COM site and import it to a wordpress.ORG site. However, I just want to make sure I can also transfer my current URL to the worpdress.ORG site. Thanks.

  Howdy!

  You can point the domain you registered at WordPress.com to another server (hosting service), with these steps:

  Change a Domain’s Name Servers

  You’ll need to obtain the nameserver values from your current host. You should be able to find them on their support documentation, or contact them and ask for the information. (Name servers may be referred as “nameservers” or “NS records” instead.)
