Can I transfer all the content of one blog to another?

    I have a domain at (for example) abc.wordpress.com, but I want to change URL to xyz.wordpress.com. I’ve already registered for xyz.wordpress.com. Can I transfer all the content (posts, pages, customizations, etc) from abc to xyz and keep everything the same?

    I tried changing my blog address from abc to xyz, but because I had already registered xyz, it won’t let me because that address already exists.

    Alternatively, would it work if I first deleted the blog xyz and then changed the address of abc to xyz? What I don’t know is: if a blog is deleted, can the name/address be recycled? Or does it disappear forever?
