Can I transfer existing domain to wordpress

  I have found info on how to map an existing domain to wordpress, and how to create a new domain for my blog, but I can’t find info on how to:

  Create a new wordpress blog and transfer an existing domain to wordpress to use for that blog.

  I no longer want to use the current domain registrar for my new blog’s domain, I want wordpress to be the registrar.

  Is this possible?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  WordPress.COM can’t accept transfer of domain names into their system. If you don’t link your current registrar then you can transfer the domain to another registrar, it just can’t be WordPress.COM.

  You can map your domain name to a blog here as you have found out.
