can i transfer media from one blog to another?

  Hey! I have two blogs, one is ascension now, the other adventures of a happy heart. I uploaded a bunch of media to ascension now but want to use it on adventures of a happy heart- is there a method of doing this i am missing? or do i need to manually upload them again to the adventures of a happy heart?

  Hi there. The only way to transfer media files automatically is to transfer them as part of the content (posts and pages). That is done via the Tools option in the WP-Admin dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

  But if you want to move only the images so you can use them for different posts on the new blog, then yes, you’ll need to upload them manually to the new blog.

  However, you can insert images into the new blog’s posts and pages directly from the old blog’s media library. In other words, you can use images in both blogs even if they’re only in one blog’s library.

  How this will work: Go to the media library in the old blog and get the URL of the image you want to use. Then, when you insert an image in the new blog, you use the Insert from URL option.
