can i transfer my blog followers to my wordpress.org site?

  I want transfer blog followers from my wordpress.com site- http://www.galwayphotoblog.com to my new wordpress.org site. I have my site up and running with my new host but i would really appreciate if you could also transfer my followers over. I haven’t seen any other way that I could do this so I have contacted you in support in the hope that you could help me.

  Yes, I can do that for you. However, you will need to download, install and connect Jetpack before I can do so.

  Thanks for the help. I already have jetpack installed though and I have a follow icon at the bottom of my blog now but I am still only seeing 2 followers.

  New site: http://galwayphotoblog.com/

  Is that correct?

  Hi,

  I’m sorry to say that still hasn’t brought my followers over to galwayphotoblog.com.

  I put subscriptions on my site and it still only shows 2 followers.

  Perhaps the problem is that my http://www.galwayphotoblog.com is currently a parked domain. WordPress was actually initially installed to http://www.talesofordinarymadness.com. So perhaps you could transfer the followers to that address and my site might start picking them up?

  I’m seeing ~180 .com/email subscribers for the galwayphotoblog.com site.

  Could you do me a favor and send a screenshot of where you are seeing only 2 subscribers?

  So, under the Jetpack link in your dashboard there’s a sublink for stats. At the bottom of the stats page there’s a link to followers, can you check the numbers there?

  The number you are seeing is probably the number of people who have signed up for email since you have switched to self hosting. I don’t think that number migrates over (though obviously the followers themselves do).

  It also says 2 blog followers under my stats. Can you tell me where you saw 180 followers? Cause ever since I moved to wordpress.org all I have ever seen is 2 blog followers wherever I have looked.

  Can you send me a screenshot of the stats page you are looking at? This is really very odd because I’m seeing a pile of subscribers on this end.

  And just to confirm, you haven’t moved the blog location since we did the subscriber transfer did you? From galwayphotoblog.com to galwayphotoblog.com/blog or something like that.
