Can I transfer my domain from another registrar to WordPress.com?

  I have seen help pages on transferring a domain from WordPress to another registrar, but can the opposite be done? I have a domain on another registrar and I would rather pay the $18/yr fee at WordPress instead of the $13/yr mapping fee on top of $12/yr at my other registrar. Is it possible to transfer my domain to WordPress.com?

  While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. We therefore recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:
