Hey zurfllc,
You can easily migrate your WordPress.org website to WordPress.com.
Here are the required steps. https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/And you should know that WordPress.com doesn’t allow its users to have a cPanel or an access to the database. The expert team takes care of everything for you.
So you just have to export the data from your website including posts, pages etc and import it into your WordPress.com account.
To have the same domain name, you can map your domain here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Just to clarify, you need a paid plan to have all these things.
Hope this helps.

Hi there,
It is NOT possible to migrate your self-hosted site’s database to WordPress.com.
We only support importing of site content via an .xml export file, not importing of the database itself.
The exception is if you upgrade to the Business Plan. Then you can use a plugin like All In One WP Migration to migrate your entire site, but please contact us via live chat after purchasing the Business Plan so we can guide you through the process.
