Can I transfer the custom settings to .org?

I purchased the custom package for my wordpress.com site, and now I’m upgrading to wordpress.org. Do I lose my custom fonts/colors/look I currently have in the transfer? I am using the Twenty-Ten theme right now.

If the custom fonts and colors aren’t transferable, is it refundable? Prorated? Am I just out of luck?

I own the domain name and I’m going with BlueHost.

  • Hi there – the custom design upgrade itself isn’t really applicable to a self-hosted site and can’t be transferred, but you can edit the CSS of the theme on your new site to change the fonts and colors. This takes a bit of CSS knowledge, but you can get help with this in the WordPress.org forums here:
    http://wordpress.org/support/

Additionally, I recommend installing Jetpack on your new site, which will give you a number of features that you’re already used to on WordPress.com, including a similar CSS editor: http://jetpack.me/

We’re only able to refund upgrades within the first 30 days after purchase or renewal, so I’m afraid I can’t refund your Custom Design upgrade.

Please let me know if you have further questions about this! :)
