  If yes, how does one go about it?

  This website is hosted on a Linux server running cPanel

  I have access to the File Manager, MySQL DB via PHPMyadmin. And also have a friend who can move it if required, but we don’t know if that’s possible so asking here before buying the WordPress.com Personal Annual Subscription.

  Hi Pushtiie,

  A guide to moving a self-hosed site over to WordPress.com can be found at:

  It’s not possible to do a full database migration, but you can export the content from the old site, then import it into the new WordPress.com site.

  The Personal plan does not allow the uploading and installing of custom plugins and themes, so you would have to rebuild the site by using one of the available themes without plugins.

  If you wanted to use the third-party themes and plugins on your site on WordPress.com, you would need to upgrade to the Business plan.
