Can I truncate posts on the home page?

  I’ve searched and couldn’t find the answer anywhere.

  Instead of displaying an entire post on the home page, is it possible to cut it off after a paragraph or two (and thus require people to click on the post to read the whole thing)? We’d just like more posts to be visible on the home page.

  Also, you can change the number of posts on the front page at Options>reading>blog posts.
