Can I Turn Notifications back to the old format?

  I find the new notifications format to be annoying, and unnecessarily different. I DON’T want to have to click on the details of every notification to clear them. Is there a way to go back to the old format? This seems to be another WordPress solution to a problem that never existed.

  Hi!

  There isn’t a way to go back to the old notification system. However, clicking the bell icon on WordPress.com should effectively “clear” all the notifications meaning you wouldn’t see an orange indicator underneath the icon anymore. Could you clarify some other features you’re missing/would like change? We’re always looking for feedback!

  My main issue is that this forces me to go through all of the detail of likes, etc. to clear notifications. Most of the time, I only want to see comments, since so many bloggers “like” things they never even read. It would help tremendously if I could click a button to mark all notifications as read without having to look through them. That would allow me to focus on just the ones that matter, and clear the rest.
