Can i turn off comments on just one post?

  I am getting spam every day that is on just one of my older posts. Is it possible to turn the comments off on just that one post? I don’t want to turn the comments off for all posts older than a certain amount of time (i know how to do that), just the one that is attracting the spam. Thanks

  Yes, you can disable “future comments”. This page > Settings > Discussion
  Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
  We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.

  Depending on the theme we use when we close comments a phrase like “comments closed” or a similar phrase may appear and if so, it can only be removed by CSS editing after purchasing a custom design upgrade.

  Brilliant thank you. The ‘wpbtips’ link you gave was the one. I didn’t have the discussions tab open in the edit page, which explains why i couldn’t find how to turn comment off on just one post. All sorted, thank you for your help.
