Can I turn off hyphenating?

  Hi… I have a free blog template.
  Can I turn off the word hyphenation in my posts? It seems like almost every word is broken up at the end of a line… seems distracting. Is this possible? Thank you!

  Hi!
  I’m not seeing any weird hyphenation on your blog when I’m using Opera, but it does appear in Firefox. Have you experimented with justifying your text?

  hi, yes, I’m using Firefox…
  I’m not sure how to justify text in the post. I’m a newbie. ;) I just have it aligned to the left. I thought maybe there was a setting to turn off hyphenation in every post (no matter what browser the reader was using).

  I’m not sure if there is a setting for hyphenation. For justifying your text, check over here. Scroll down to the alignment section. You’ll want the full alignment. Hopefully that’ll help you out a bit!

  I’m pretty familiar with the visual editor – but I don’t think it will help. ;( To do what I want, I believe I’ll have to purchase the CSS editing upgrade.

  It is possible to turn of hyphenating with the Custom Design upgrade. If you opt go ahead with that, just let us know and we’ll be glad to help with the specific CSS.

  Or simply switch to a different theme: most themes don’t have auto-hyphenation.
