Can I turn off "Loading Comments. . ."?
-
In the gallery pages of my website scienceandartpress.wordpress.com I see, briefly, the words “Loading Comments. . .” on each image as I click through the gallery. Can this be eliminated?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The carousel view cannot be disabled, that’s the view that comes up whenever a single image from a gallery is selected.
As a workaround to keep your readers from selecting an image (and opening the Carousel), you my recommendation is that you edit your gallery, then change its type to Slideshow.
If you don’t like the look of the slideshow, another option is to display add each image to the page separately, instead of using a Gallery.

Since I want people to be able to see the photographs large and against a black background, I will continue with the Carousel gallery. The undisableable “Loading Comments. . .” has got to be a bug, though, and I hope WordPress can fix it. Likewise, I hope you can fix the bug that has the words “View full size” on the bottom right side of the screen. (Or is that something I can turn off?) The photo in the Carousel are full size, and clicking on “View full size” only displays them out of context and on a white background.

I can understand why both of those elements are undesirable based on the way you are using the carousel, but they are necessary for the feature’s broader use case, so I’m afraid they can’t be removed. across the board.
If you ever decide to upgrade to WordPress.com Premium, please let us know as both of those elements could be hidden using CSS code.
