Can I turn off New Post email notifications?
-
Hi,
I want to add 30 or so posts in one day but I do not want my email followers to be swamped with notifications each time I add one.
Can I turn it off per post? Or temporarily pause them?
Thanks,
Simon -
Hi Simon! There is not a way to turn off notifications for one post when publishing, and off for another when publishing.
When you site is public notifications for your posts will be sent out to your followers each time you publish a new post.
You could consider using the schedule feature to set future publish dates for posts, if you are not doing that already: https://wordpress.com/support/schedule-a-post-or-page/

Hi Dean,
Thanks very much for confirming I cannot do what I wanted with the notifications.
For the record I think I have found a way – import them from another blog.
Cheers,

Hi Simon,
If you set your site to private and then publish the posts, notifications also shouldn’t be sent to your followers. Then you can just set the site back to public after you’ve published them.
