Can I upgrade Dyad on WordPress.org to enable font selection, picture arrangement etc?

  I tried out your Dyad Theme on wordpress.com and loved it. I chose GoDaddy to host it and they suggested rebuilding the site using the Dyad theme they had. When I did that, customizing has been very limited: Fonts and sizes can’t change, colors, photo arrangement is different. Can I upgrade and get more out of the theme on wordpress.org? Should I have migrated the theme from wordpress.com to GoDaddy? , Thanks, Michele Shapiro
