Can I upload a theme?

  Hey there, can anyone tell me if/how can I upload a theme for my blog?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The only themes with can use with WordPress.com blogs are under “Appearance” -> “Themes”
  We can’t upload themes from the internet.

  Ok… I got that, but I got this theme http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2008/08/20/notepad-chaos-a-free-wordpress-theme/ and it says that it’s an wordpress theme, but I couldn’t find it on Themes… And I wander if it’s an wordpress theme why can’t I use it on an wordpress blog. Thank you.

  There are two wordpresses. That theme is for self-hosted blogs using software downloaded from wordpress.org. This explains the differences:

  There are 2 versions of WordPress:
  .com, where your blog is hosted for free and works of a sort of communal platform
  .org where people pay for hosting somewhere in the net and use free wordpress blogging software
