Can I upload reference files somehow?

  Hello…I’m in the throes of learning how to use WordPress and altho I love the available tools, I often can’t find an answer I need. Here’s what I’m stuck on today. I want to add a photo to the photo widget in sidebar. The form asks for a URL for the photo. What I’d like to know is if I can actually store the photo in my WordPress space and if so, how do I do that? I don’t want to use one of my ‘pages’ because then it would be in nav bar. I want to store it so the software can get it for my widget, but not be visible otherwise.

  Check out the media library. You’ll find “media” on the left from your dashboard.
