Can I use 2 different Author Names for 2 different blogs?
-
I have a premium account, and have created two very different wordpress.com blogs. I want to know if there is a way to have my Author Name changed for all posts I make to one blog, while keeping it as is, to my other blog. From my investigation, it appears there is not such a capacity. But hopefully I am wrong.
Thanks.

You need to have two different accounts to do what you want – make a second account (no blog required) then invite it to the blog you need the second name on –

Thanks for the info. A clumsy and time-consuming solution, wordpress.com should understand that users will have diverse interests and may want to vary their Author Names from one blog to another, and make this process transparent and integrated to a single account. But at least there is no financial cost. :-)

The biggest danger is forgetting to make sure you have the correct author selected when making a Post or that you are in the correct account – if you are an Admin you can just pick the different author to match the site – but I forget to do that from time to time on one site I own for friends

Very understandable. WordPress.com could and should make it much easier for accountholders to use any name they wish, as displayed on their posts. Most blogs focus on a specific topic, so why not allow users to pick a public name suitable to the topic they are addressing, without the subterfuge of having to create a second account and pretend you are a different person??
