Can I use a purchased Premium theme again on a different/new WP account?

    I currently have a Personal/Starter blog which I don’t want to continue with after the next renewal date wlhich is next month. It as the Gridiculous Pro premium theme which I purchased.

    If, in a year or two, I decide that I want to have a WP blog again, would my purchased Gridiculous Pro theme still be available to me to use on that new and entirely different site? Or would it ‘die’ when my current site is not renewed? The new site would have an entirely different name than the one I currently have, although the email that I would use for any new WP blog would be the same as I have now.

    I do really like the Gridiculous Pro theme and would hate to have to permanently throw away the $70 that I paid for it. Especially since it isn’t available anymore to new users.

    Unless there is a way to change the identify/name of the site that I currently have? In other words, to renew it (thus keeping my purchased theme) but to transform the site name and URL . I suspect that that isn’t possible but figure it’s worth asking.

    Okay, I just discovered that I can indeed change the name/identity/URL of my existing site, so that there will be no connection between what I have now and the ‘new’ one. Turns out that this is critical because my Gridiculous Pro does support the Classic Editor which is the only one I use. I absolutely HATE the Block Editor and don’t want to risk having to use a them that doesn’t have the Classic Editor available.

    My only other question now is this: If I ever downgrade in the future from the Personal/Starter Plan to a Free Plan, will I still be able to use my purchased Gridiculous Pro theme? Or will that theme disappear if I ever downgrade to Free?

    Hi,

    Premium plans are purchases that never expire and are not removed from your account. You can keep using your Gridiculous Pro theme even in a free plan.

    You can also start over your current site and change its URL to keep using your premium theme.

    Alternatively, we could even move the premium theme purchase to another site in case you’d like to use it with a different site.
