It says on the WordPress site it’s not allowed, what is confusing about that? Until WordPress announce otherwise on the WordPress site, you can’t use AdSense.

If you’d like to apply to try Ad Control, please use the form below to send us a message.”

Yes I did dude, did you?

Adsense, Yahoo, Chitika, TextLinkAds and other ads are not allowed on free WordPress.com blogs.

Unless you have a blog with high traffic of a min 25,000 views or more a month, then you’d need to fill out the form below.

Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, and Federated Media have teamed up to give WordPress’s millions of users the ability to place ads on their blogs.

The partnership, which the two companies announced at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, will allow brands and advertisers to target participating WordPress.com site owners in order to reach the audiences that are relevant to them.

Federated Media CEO Deanna Brown called it “relevance at scale,” because advertisers will be able to target across thousands (or potentially millions) of WordPress-powered websites.

“We’re bringing contextual advertising to highly desirable audiences,” Brown said on stage. It’s unclear how Automattic and Federated Media will split the revenue with WordPress.com users.

As per the mashable report, Is automattic going to build their own adnetwork ???

@ardpete am new to this forum, I think most of wp.com users are the member of this forum. Mashable is also a part of wp.com (VIP)
So nobody here with 25,000 views a month ??

There are some that help in the forum that have over 25k page views a month but they have the no ads upgrade another has some sort of ad share program they participate in and they joke about the $ 5– check they get once in a while.
