Can I use database with a free account with wordpress.com

I want to create a website. I have got an account with a hosting server called dreamhost, where wordpress installation is matter of 1 click. My question is, does a free account with wordpress.com also give access to some database say mysql wherein I could add and get data from and into this database using some plugin. or there is not database support in free account with wordpress.com

Hi there – we don’t provide database access on WordPress.com. You can read more here about the differences between WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress sites like the one you would get at Dreamhost.
