can i use enfold theme for my business package website?
-
hi, i’m making a website for a client, and interested into your business package ($ 24.99/month), but i have several questions:
– can i use enfold theme (from envato) with that package? because i have presented the website design with that template to my client
– with which webhosting company will be, if i used that package? (bluehost/hostgator/godaddy?) can i choose the company?
– can i use search plugin with that package? my client wants a detail ‘search’ facility inside the website
– my client already had a domain, and want to make the new website as a subdomain, can it be managed with that package?
– can it be integrated with GDN (google display network)?waiting for your feedback, thanks a lot for your help

Hi there,
– can i use enfold theme (from envato) with that package?
If it’s a WordPress theme, you should be able to use it on WordPress.com with the Business Plan, yes. I would recommend testing the theme first on a staging site to make sure it doesn’t have any conflicts with the Jetpack, VaultPress and Akismet plugins, as those plugins come standard on WordPress.com Business Plan sites and cannot be removed of deactivated.
– with which webhosting company will be, if i used that package?
If you set up a WordPress.com site with a WordPress.com plan, we are the hosting provider. If you want to set up a site with another hosting provider you need to use the self-hosted WordPress software instead, in which case our plans don’t apply. Our plans can only be bought for WordPress.com sites, not self-hosted sites using the WordPress.org software.
You can read more about the difference here:
https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
– can i use search plugin with that package?
WordPress.com already includes a search widget that can be activated on any site, regardless of plan, but if you have the WordPress.com Business Plan you should be able to install any plugin that’s in the WordPress.org repository.
– my client already had a domain, and want to make the new website as a subdomain
Subdomains can be mapped to WordPress.com sites using any of our upgrade plans:
– can it be integrated with GDN (google display network)?
I am not familiar with GDN. If it can be integrated via a WordPress plugin, you should be able to use it. If it requires any server-side configuration or if it requires you to modify the source code of the site, you won’t be able to use it with any WordPress.com-hosted site. In that case you’ll need self-hosted WordPress instead.

hi again, i still have some questions:
1. with your business package, can i work offline in localhost (using MAMP on my imac) and later upload the files to your server, like if i subscribe to a webhosting? or i have to edit it online like wordpress.com websites?
2. the website will have a lot of photo and pages, is the unlimited capacity really unlimited? so i can upload unlimited amount of photo, files, folder to your server during my subscription without limitation like one file maximum 50 mb, or maximum folder to be uploaded is 100 folder or something like that?thanks a lot for your attention

1. with your business package, can i work offline in localhost
You cannot, no. For that you’d need FTP access, and we don’t offer FTP access on for any site on WordPress.com, regardless of plan. Any and all changes need to be made online. But with a Business Plan site you can use a maintenance mode plugin to hide your site from public view while you are making changes to it.
2. the website will have a lot of photo and pages, is the unlimited capacity really unlimited?
Storage on the Business Plan is unlimited, yes. Don’t go trying to upload a single 10GB file – we don’t recommend uploading single files bigger than 1GB (which only really applies if you’re uploading video files), but there’s no limit on the number of files you can upload.
And should you ever cancel the plan, any media you’ve already uploaded will stay available. You just won’t be able to upload any more if cancelling means you’re now over the limit of the cheaper/free plan.

dear Kokkieh, thanks a lot for your feedback. i still have some questions:
1. does it mean i cannot modify theme through childtheme with the business package? i cannot modify the php files? what about css, i still can edit it through quick css on the theme dashboard?
2. can i use all plugin from third party or i only can use plugin from wordpress.com?
3. where will be your server located? in US or Asia? i’m located at Indonesia and my website’s target audience will be at Indonesia
waiting for your feedback, thank you for your attention -
1. does it mean i cannot modify theme through childtheme with the business package? i cannot modify the php files?
You can use child themes on the Business Plan. You’ll need to create your child theme offline and package it as a .zip folder, and then you can upload that from your site’s WP-Admin dashboard. You don’t need FTP access to do this.
You’ll still have the Customizer where you can add custom CSS to your theme, yes.
2. can i use all plugin from third party or i only can use plugin from wordpress.com?
WordPress.com doesn’t have plugin. You can install any plugin that appears in the WordPress.org repository (except for a handful we block for compatibility reasons): https://wordpress.org/plugins/
Also see:
3. where will be your server located? in US or Asia?
We have servers right around the world, and visitors to your site will connect to the server that’s closest to them to keep loading times on your site as low as possible. Your content is not hosted on just one server in a particular location.
