Using 3rd party ad networks (including adsense) on WordPress.com is not allowed. For full details, please see:
http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
We do have an advertising program called WordAds, which you can read more about here:
If you require other advertising, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on advertising if you setup a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities. Please see this link to learn about the differences:
We have hosting recommendations at the following link if you are interested:

Gaaaah!
Okay, so my apologies. Sometimes my fingers work faster than my brain. You were asking about Google Analytics and I gave you a reply about Google Adsense.
However, the REAL reply is more or less the same in terms of using Analytics on WordPress.com.
WordPress.com does not currently support Google Analytics tracking. However, we do offer built-in statistics showing you most of the same types of information as Google Analytics would display.
You can view your site’s stats by clicking the stats link in the grey admin bar at the top of your site. To find out more about how stats are measured and reported, see the following help page:
You can also install Google Webmaster Tools, which contains some of the same functions as Google Analytics:

Please let me know if you have further questions or if anything is unclear. And again, my apologies for the useless initial reply.
