Can I use my own domain name on my free WP blog?

  Can I use my own domain name (registered through WP) for my free WP blog? Or would I have to be using the premium package?

  You’d have to buy domain mapping for $13 a year.

  But if I bought the domain through WP, I didn’t think I would need to buy mapping?

  Yes, you do. Buying the domain gets you the domain. Buying mapping attaches that domain to your blog.
