Can I use my own nameserver with a custom domain on wordpress.com?
-
I would like to use my own domain with a wordpress.com account, but I would also like to keep using the DNS service I am already using. Is there a way to setup a wordpress.com custom domain without entirely switching my nameservers to the wordpress.com nameservers?

You can choose to map a sub-domain to your WordPress.com blog instead of the full domain (which requires changing nameservers). Mapping a sub-domain only requires you to add a CNAME record, which makes your address look something like blog.yourdomaincom.
You can go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
Please take a look at the following guide before going through the process.
