Can I use tables in blog posts?
-
I know the HTML to construct tables. I want to insert thumbnails of photos into the table cells. When I enter the code and preview it, all the images are smushed way to the left. What am I doing wrong?

Well, I haven’t posted it yet because it looks awful. I have been trying it in a draft post, then looking at the preview. But the code I’m adding is just this, for example.
<table>
<tr>
<td> photo 1 here </td>
<td> photo 2 here </td>
<td> photo 3 here </td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td> R1 photo 1 </td>
<td> R2 photo 2 </td>
<td> R2 photo 2 </td>
</tr>
</table>And then I’m inserting thumbnails into the td spots. It seems perfectly simple. I just wonder if there’s something in the them that prevents the use of tables? I don’t know where to find detailed documentation about what’s possible in a given theme.
I am really trying to avoid paying for the upgrade since this is just a personal, hobby site.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

However, if you can see it, and I guess you can (!), the draft post is entitled “Worth Saving Up For”. I just don’t want to post it because it’s not at all ready. Thank you.

Here is the link in case that helps. I just re-added the code. If you can see the link, you’ll see the problem – at the bottom. http://thriftylass.com/?p=902&preview=true

The table toward the bottom of your post looks just fine — is this what you’re referring to?
Have you considered using the gallery feature to display your images?
